Jamawar Shawl, Stole & Scarf

Jamawar shawls and stoles are characterized by dense embroidery or weaving, often covering 80–90% of the fabric surface. That’s what makes them so opulent and heavy in visual impact. Historically, Jamawar pieces were woven (not embroidered) with intricate motifs, but in contemporary usage, the term often refers to shawls where embroidery dominates the fabric, leaving very little plain ground visible. Authentic Jamawar shawls are rare because of the time-intensive hand embroidery.
